The roleWe're hiring a
Business Development Manager to help drive Dealroom's growth by owning the full commercial cycle from first contact to long-term customer relationships in North America.
This is a
full-cycle, high-ownership role. You'll work directly with decision-makers, sell a complex data product, and help shape how Dealroom grows across markets and continents.
You won't be following a rigid script. You'll be expected to understand our customers, spot opportunities, and build a pipeline in a thoughtful, targeted way.
What you'll do- Build and develop a pipeline
- Identify and prioritize high-potential accounts across regions and industries
- Run outbound efforts using research, insight and relevance - not volume for volume's sake
- Use LinkedIn, email, events and warm introductions as part of a broader approach
- Prospect, qualify, run demos, negotiate and close new customers
- Manage longer, consultative sales cycles with senior stakeholders
- Ensure clean handovers and strong early customer experience
- Sell through insight, not hype
- Understand customer use cases (VCs, corporates, public sector, ecosystem builders)
- Position Dealroom as a strategic tool, not just a data subscription
- Tailor demos and conversations to real customer problems and decisions
- Contribute beyond your quota
- Share feedback with product and marketing on messaging, use cases and objections
- Help refine our sales motion as we expand into new markets
- Play an active role in how we scale commercially
- Experience in a full-cycle sales or business development role (SaaS, data, platforms, or complex B2B products)
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting, but selective and thoughtful in approach
- Experience selling to senior or expert audiences (strategy, investment, innovation, policy, etc.)
- Strong communication skills: able to explain complex value clearly and credibly
- Curious, analytical mindset; you enjoy understanding markets and customers
- Familiar with CRMs (HubSpot) and managing your own pipeline
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Why this role?Real ownership: you manage your deals and influence how we grow
International scope: Europe today, global ambition
High exposure: work closely with leadership, product and marketing
Product with substance: you're selling insight, not shelfware
Competitive base salary, commission and stock options
Flexible working setup (remote-friendly, Amsterdam office open)
Strong benefits package and personal development budget
A diverse, international team with a flat structure and high trust
