Business Development Manager, Barracuda

Location: The role will be a hybrid position out of our Montreal office.

Salary: There is a base plus commissions component tied to this role at market value.

About the role

Business Development Manager, Barracuda at Insight, you proactively promote collaboration between Insight and partner sales teams working with all sales segments to identify and target accounts that are mutually profitable. This is achieved through the development and implementation of successful product marketing programs unique to the specific categories, business units and selling venues. Your goals are supported by the development of competitive strategies relative to vendors, pricing, assortment and merchandising.

As a Business Development Manager, Barracuda you will:
  • Engage- Engage with vendor partners to strengthen the partner relationship by facilitating partnering activities and programs that will result in positive sales growth.
  • Sell- Meet sales and activity performance goals, including weekly pipeline report by opportunity. Prepare reports and communicate monthly summary of wins, losses, inhibitors and net-new opportunities.
  • Communicate- Maintain a direct line of communication with the inside and field sales management to promote consistent collaboration with the partner sales teams through face-to-face or virtual meetings.
  • Execute- Implement internally created call campaigns in by leveraging business intelligence to identify new areas of opportunity. Track, measure and report in the success of these campaigns.
  • Travel- Present information to top management, public groups, and Quarterly Business Reviews. Attend Company, vendor, and publisher trainings and webinars.


What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • Combination of 5-7+ years of related professional work experience and/or training.
  • Barracuda or security experience preferred. Channel experience required.
  • 5+ years related IT sales experience and vendor knowledge.

  • Vendre - Atteindre les objectifs de performance des ventes et des activités, y compris un rapport hebdomadaire sur le pipeline par opportunité. Préparez des rapports et communiquez un résumé mensuel des victoires, défaites, obstacles et opportunités nettes.
  • Communiquer - Maintenir une communication directe avec la direction des ventes internes et sur le terrain afin de favoriser une collaboration cohérente avec les équipes commerciales partenaires par des réunions en face à face ou virtuelles.
  • Exécuter - Mettre en œuvre des campagnes d'appels créées en interne en exploitant l'intelligence économique pour identifier de nouvelles opportunités possibles. Suivez, mesurez et faites rapport sur le succès de ces campagnes.
  • Voyage - Présenter des informations à la haute direction, aux groupes publics et aux revues trimestrielles des affaires. Participez à des formations et webinaires pour entreprises, fournisseurs et éditeurs.


Ce que nous cherchons

  • Licence d'un collège ou université de 4 ans.
  • Combinaison de 5 à 7+ ans d'expérience professionnelle et/ou de formation professionnelle.
  • 5+ ans d'expérience en vente IT liée et connaissance des fournisseurs.
