Business Development Executive, Diagnostics - Southeast Division

Labcorp is seeking a field-based, Business Development Executive to cover the Southeast Division.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Initiatives & Campaign Management
  • Lead divisional execution of national, regional, and specialty sales campaigns.
  • Partner with enterprise teams to drive adoption of strategic initiatives, including Payor Solutions programs and focus product priorities.
  • Develop and execute divisional growth initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Support sales blitzes, market expansion efforts, and targeted growth campaigns.

Sales Training & Development
  • Manage the Focus Friday program, including annual training calendar development and content planning.
  • Facilitate product training sessions and educational programs for field sales teams.
  • Partner with Marketing and Commercial Leadership to support successful product launches and commercialization efforts.
  • Plan and coordinate specialty sales training for Annual Kickoff and other divisional meetings, prioritizing content based on enterprise growth strategies.

Marketing & Commercial Liaison
  • Serve as the primary divisional liaison between Marketing, Commercial Leadership, and field sales teams.
  • Attend monthly Specialty Marketing Committee (SMC) meetings and coordinate follow-up actions and sales enablement activities.
  • Lead communication and deployment of national marketing initiatives within the division.
  • Support implementation of new product launches, campaigns, and promotional strategies.

Salesforce & Sales Operations Leadership
  • Serve as divisional Salesforce subject matter expert and primary point of contact for CRM initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to optimize lead management processes, reporting, and adoption of Salesforce tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement of sales workflows, pipeline visibility, and reporting accuracy.

Business Analytics & Reporting
  • Manage monthly focus product reporting and performance analysis.
  • Translate sales and market data into actionable insights for divisional leadership and field teams.
  • Support regional leaders with analytics related to growth initiatives, campaigns, and business performance.

Cross-Functional Communication & Field Support
  • Coordinate and disseminate critical communications related to laboratory operations, test updates, IT initiatives, and commercial priorities.
  • Serve as a resource to Regional Managers, Vice Presidents/General Managers, and field sales teams.
  • Provide day-to-day support for sales team needs and strategic projects.

Strategic Partnerships
  • Manage relationships and joint initiatives with key third-party current and future commercial strategic partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnership engagement and drive mutual growth objectives.

Talent Development & Internship Program
  • Lead divisional internship program planning and execution.
  • Develop projects, training programs, and learning experiences for interns.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship, oversight, and performance feedback throughout the internship experience.


Field Engagement
  • Participate in customer visits, field rides, and sales meetings as appropriate to support strategic initiatives and maintain market awareness.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 or more years healthcare sales experience leading high performing sales strategies in highly matrixed organizations.

About the Role
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is an integral member of the Commercial Sales Operations team and will coordinate with our Sales and Marketing directors to boost our company's market presence and increase customer engagement. This roll will be directly responsible for the success of all Salesforce.com projects including traditional sales campaigns, new product launches, M&A integration, updates that impact our largest customers, ad-hoc sales campaigns, and reporting of our large deal and M&A pipeline.

The Business Development Executive will be accountable for identifying the project, documenting and communicating project scope to senior leadership, identifying targets, and managing/reporting its performance to plan to achieve the division's revenue goals. In addition, this position will collaborate with senior lab leadership, corporate marketing, and sales leadership to develop and launch appropriate materials and activities including formal communication plans, training, and roll-out strategies to support the Southeast Divisional strategic objectives. You will also work closely with senior sales leadership to build effective sales strategies and training platforms, and by analyzing market trends and conducting market research, identify new business opportunities and potential areas of risk. In addition, the Business Development Executive is responsible for overseeing all aspects of planning and communication for sales events and regular trainings, including production elements and support mechanisms for aligning sales teams and resources.

This position will also be responsible for identifying key conferences, membership opportunities, affiliations, and high-profile co-marketing opportunities that will help the division broaden our community outreach goals and become a key influencer in the local health care communities we serve.

This is a field-based role with the ideal candidate residing in the Tampa FL, Atlanta GA or Birmingham AL areas.
