The opportunity
Help advisors turn insurance opportunities into meaningful client outcomes.

CI Financial is seeking Business Development & Enablement Specialists to strengthen advisor relationships and grow insurance activity across an assigned network of independent advisors and branches.

This role combines proactive business development with practical insurance expertise. You will help advisors identify opportunities within their existing client books, prepare for client conversations and move cases forward. You will also connect advisors with advanced planning and insurance specialists when additional expertise or sales support is needed.

This is an opportunity to help shape an evolving advisor-enablement model, with a clear focus on relationship development, advisor participation and insurance growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned advisors, branches and regional teams through proactive outreach and meaningful engagement.
  • Help advisors identify insurance needs within their existing client books and translate those needs into actionable opportunities.
  • Conduct case consultations and support straightforward to moderately complex opportunities through product guidance, illustrations and preparation for client discussions.
  • Maintain follow-up and pipeline momentum from opportunity identification through application and placement, coordinating with the appropriate support teams.
  • Engage the Regional Vice President or Advanced Planning Specialist on complex estate, corporate and high-net-worth cases.
  • Develop relationships between advisors and Corporate Insurance Specialists where specialist-led insurance execution would benefit the advisor and client.
  • Participate in branch meetings, advisor events, professional development days and regional growth initiatives.
  • Use Salesforce to maintain visibility into advisor engagement, opportunities and business results.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Experience in insurance distribution, business development, wholesaling or advisor support, with a proactive, relationship-driven approach.
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance, living benefits and insurance planning concepts.
  • The ability to engage advisors, recognize opportunities and provide practical guidance that helps move business forward.
  • Strong communication, organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities.
  • Sound judgment in recognizing when advanced planning or specialist support is required.
  • Appropriate provincial life insurance licensing, or the ability to obtain it.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within your assigned Ontario region.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. Theanticipatedbase salary range for this position is$85,000to $100,000. Exactsalary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a sales incentive plan program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
