Position Overview

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Develop, maintain and optimize dashboards and reports related to throughput, capacity, bed management, and nursing resource utilization
  • Provide real time and retrospective data to support operational decision making
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and standardization across reporting platforms
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing length of stay, ED boarding, and delays in patient throughput
  • Monitor performance against key throughput metrics and organizational goals
  • Analyze bed utilization, turnover times, and placement patterns across the health system
  • Collaborate with logistics and environmental services to evaluate operational efficiency impacting bed availability
  • Support centralized nursing operations through data analysis
  • Translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights for operational leaders
  • Support performance improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis and outcome tracking
  • Performs other duties as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, data analytics, statistics, or related field required
  • Experience: Three' experience in healthcare analytics and operational data analysis. Experience working with hospital operations, patient flow, or staffing data strongly preferred
  • Other Credentials:
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets. Proficiency in data visualization tools and data management platforms. Advanced skills in Excel and/or SQL; experience with EHR systems preferred. Knowledge in lean, six sigma or other process improvement techniques preferred.
