Full Job Description
Control Risks' Embedded Consulting team is looking for a Business Continuity Specialist to help support a technology sector client build its corporate business continuity program. The specialist will primarily be an executor of Business Continuity workstreams, collaborating closely with the client's Business Continuity leadership team to develop a fit-for-purpose program and demonstrate value quickly.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Following client lead endorsement, pilot new approaches and deliver independently in the following areas:
    • Conducting business impact assessments to determine core business functions, dependencies, priorities for recovery, recovery requirements, and recovery time objective(s).
    • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to recovery capabilities and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
    • Developing and implementing viable strategies to minimize customer impacts and ensure the timely recovery of core business functions during and after a business disruption.
    • Facilitating business continuity training and awareness.
    • Designing and facilitating meaningful plan exercises; analyze outcomes to identify trends, weaknesses/gaps, risks, and opportunities to improve plans and strengthen resiliency.
  • Manage the implementation of new tooling for the Business Continuity function, working with internal and external partners to operationalize a tool tailored to this client context.
  • Act as a thought partner to the client's Business Continuity leadership team to develop a fit-for-purpose program, thinking creatively to right size resilience solutions for this client ecosystem.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business continuity-related inquiries and support for stakeholders across the client enterprise.
  • Work with large amounts of data to provide meaningful reports and support informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrate understanding and expertise in emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in business continuity and disaster recovery to continuously improve strategies and support mechanisms within the client organization.

Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience implementing and managing business continuity or resilience programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills necessary to build relationships and positively influence decision making.
  • Clear executive presence and ability to engage positively with stakeholders at varying levels, build productive relationships and influence decision-making.
  • Creative thinking and innovative problem solver.
  • Experience with commercial Business Continuity tools.
  • Experience with Google Suite and Gemini.
  • Experience in supporting internal teams to respond and recover from significant disruptive events.
  • Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people, and technology challenges in order to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the written and oral communication skills necessary to build relationships and positively influence decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple complex projects.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-130,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
