This role is responsible for the administration, optimization, and secure operation of business applications and reporting solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power BI.

This is a hands-on technical position for an individual who enjoys designing solutions, solving business challenges through technology, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will help ensure applications and reporting platforms remain reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

While this role supports operations within a regulated environment, it is not an audit, finance, or compliance position. Compliance objectives are achieved through effective application design, access controls, configuration management, and documentation. This role is based on-site in Tucson, Arizona and requires regular engagement with business, IT, Infrastructure, Security, Finance, Operations, and functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using data from Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and optimize semantic models, DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and data refresh processes.
  • Administer and enhance Dynamics 365 applications, including forms, views, dashboards, workflows, business rules, and security roles.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Implement and maintain role-based security, row-level security, and least-privilege access controls across reporting and application platforms.
  • Support application lifecycle and environment management practices, including development, testing, and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to application performance, data quality, system integrations, security, and user access.
  • Document application designs, configurations, reporting logic, data definitions, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security teams on integrations, platform improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Stay current with Microsoft best practices and emerging capabilities across Power BI, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and the Power Platform.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience supporting, administering, or developing solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Dataverse environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI development and administration, DAX and Power Query, data modeling and reporting best practices, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse.
  • Experience implementing application security controls, including role-based access control and row-level security.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience documenting business processes, application configurations, and technical solutions.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications within regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or government contracting.
  • Understanding of how application controls, access management, logging, and environment separation support frameworks such as SOX, CMMC, DFARS, and NIST SP 800-171.
  • Experience implementing least-privilege access models and maintaining audit-ready application environments.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 licensing, security role design, governance, and indirect access considerations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Exposure to enterprise data integration platforms and AI-enabled analytics solutions.
  • PowerShell, SQL, or automation experience.
  • Microsoft certifications related to Power BI, Power Platform, Fabric, Azure Data, or Dynamics 365.
