We have an exciting opportunity foraBusiness AnalystatUL Standards & Engagement.This is a hybrid opportunity based inourRTP or Evanston office.

TheBusiness Analystwillsupport technologyenabled servicesandinitiativestoadvance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable. TheBusiness Analystwill leverageapplication and technical knowledgeof software and system functionstoinform technology solutionsimplementation,process improvement and user experience optimization.TheBusiness Analystwilldrive rigoroustechnical requirement discovery, identify substandard or inefficientsystem processes, and ensure systems are designed, tested, and maintained to support usability and operational excellence.

AstheBusiness Analyst,youwill play a key role in the rapid growth ofULas you:

  • Providefunctional and operationalsupportoftechnology software and systems.Drivecontinuous improvementof technology solutions andidentifyopportunities to meet evolving stakeholder needs and ULSE strategic objectives.

  • Managecomprehensivetechnicalrequirementgathering acrossfunctional areas, to support safetystandardsprocesses, regulatoryneedsand organizationalobjectives. Ensure requirements are complete,traceableand aligned with priorities.

  • Analyzeexisting systemsandmonitorperformance of technology solutions. Participate in testing and quality assurance assessments, conduct regularauditsand use data driven insights tooffer recommendations on capabilities andoptimizefunctionality.

  • Validate user requirements for systems in production. Continuously assess user feedback and evolving needs to inform system enhancements.

  • Support deployment and configuration of new systems,applicationsand updates.Provide ongoing education to end-users,create and delivertailoredtraining programs and materials.

  • Manage end-to-end projects, plan and execute activities across the project lifecycle and ensuretimelyand high-quality deliverables. Support ongoing project governance through clear documentation, risk management, and status reporting.

  • Build andmaintainrelationships with key stakeholders,identifyneeds and leverage technology solutions to support operational efficiency, streamlineprocessesand improve user experiences.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for system and applicant issues. Develop and apply end-to-end solutions and implement proactive strategies to address complex,undefinedand ambiguous challenges.

  • Collaboratewithin the team to ensure team-level goal achievement and enablesuccessful adoption and integration of technology solutions.

  • Support andfacilitateinternal and external meetings. Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, and other deliverables.

  • Maintain continued awareness of industry trends,emergingtechnologiesand best practices to continually improveperformance and effectiveness of technology solutions.

  • Independently execute tasks that range in complexity and scope.

  • Perform other duties as directed.
