DMI, LLC is seeking a combined Business Analyst and Tester supporting a ServiceNow service management program for the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms (SAA).

The role elicits and refines requirements, then builds and runs the automated test suite that proves the delivered work. Test automation using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework is an explicit requirement of the position, not an optional skill: this is not a manual-testing role. The successful candidate is equally comfortable in a requirements workshop with business users and in the test framework afterward.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Business and System Analysis
  • Perform and support business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts.
  • Translate business process needs into technical requirements.
  • Provide technical knowledge to business stakeholders evaluating process and platform options.
• Requirements and User Stories
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Document functional and technical requirements, process flows, data, forms, integrations, security and access requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain traceability between approved requirements, test coverage, and delivered functionality.
• Test Automation
  • Build, maintain, execute, and troubleshoot automated tests using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Maintain the automated regression suite as the platform changes across releases.
• Test Planning and Execution
  • Develop test plans, test scripts, and related documentation based on finalized requirements.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, process-flow, and data testing mapped to approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Document test execution results, defects, remediation status, and retesting evidence.
• User Acceptance Testing
  • Support user acceptance test planning, including scenarios, expected results, participants, responsibilities, schedule, and entry and exit criteria.
  • Support execution of user acceptance testing with a business user population, and document results, defects, disposition, and outstanding risks and issues.

Education and Years of Experience: 

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Five or more years of relevant experience.
• ITIL certification

Required Skills & Certifications: 

• Demonstrated proficiency building, maintaining, executing, and troubleshooting automated tests using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Demonstrated business process and system analysis experience, including translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Experience authoring requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts traceable to approved requirements.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing with a non-technical business user population.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all project stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to successfully complete the background investigation required for U.S. Senate facility and system access, and to meet ongoing personnel security reporting requirements. [Confirm investigation level and adjudication timeline.

Additional Requirements:

• Hands-on ServiceNow platform administration experience.
• Experience with functional, integration, and regression test strategy on a platform under continuous release.
• Federal or Legislative Branch testing experience within a formal acceptance regime.
• Experience with defect tracking and quality reporting in ServiceNow
• This position is designated Key Personnel under the contract. Substitution requires customer notification and approval.
• Deliverables are subject to formal Government review and written Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) acceptance.
• Testing windows may occasionally fall outside standard business hours to align with release schedules.

Work Arrangement: With the option of Hybrid, with some work performed on-site in Washington, DC in support of the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms.
