Position OverviewAs a Business Analyst Sr within PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA
Financial Systems is seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven professional to support the Workiva application and related financial reporting initiatives. This position plays an important role in administering the platform, supporting business users, strengthening reporting processes, and partnering with stakeholders across Lines of Business, technology teams, MIS, and internal control functions.
The successful candidate will support application administration, quarterly access and segregation of duties certifications, business analysis, project coordination, process documentation, and audit-related requests.
This role also provides an opportunity to contribute to automation and reporting enhancements, including Power Automate solutions, Tableau and Hyperion Essbase reporting automation, Workiva reporting and dashboards, approval workflow improvements, onboarding process enhancements, and evaluations of direct source-system integrations.
Primary Responsibilities
• Administer and support the Workiva application platform and related Financial Systems processes.
• Coordinate quarterly access reviews and segregation of duties certifications, ensuring appropriate documentation and timely completion.
• Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements, analyze processes, and support effective solution delivery.
• Support business analysis activities, including process mapping, documentation, issue resolution, and enhancement prioritization.
• Identify, develop, and support automation opportunities, including Power Automate solutions and reporting integrations.
• Enhance Workiva reporting, dashboards, approval workflows, onboarding processes, and related user support materials.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, including the Workiva AI pilot, controls management solutioning, reconciliation process improvements, and direct source-system integration evaluations.
• Provide project coordination, status tracking, process documentation, and support for audit-related requests.
Qualifications and Skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently and apply a process-driven approach to work.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and improving policy and procedure documentation.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively identify process improvement opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to translate business needs, processes, and procedures into clear requirements.
• Understanding of accounting systems, financial data flows, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with advanced working knowledge of Excel preferred.
• Experience with Workiva, Tableau, Hyperion Essbase, Power Automate, or similar financial systems and reporting tools is a plus.

Job Description- Directs the research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements. Participates in the development and review of complex processes and procedures, workflow analytics and reporting. May provide senior level consultation and communicates with clients and technology teams on business designs, problem solving and business analysis to support project goals and objectives.
- Consults and recommends the frameworks, methodologies and processes involved in business requirements traceability for business analysis teams. Independently mentors, leads, and coaches other associates to affect knowledge transfer. Oversees the development and maintenance of all applicable policy and procedure documentation.
- Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with applicable experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs. May communicate with senior level stakeholders and technology teams on complex business requirements.
- Leads multiple business analysis project management processes through planning, quality assurance and effectiveness assessment. Provides direction for the successful deployment of projects. Drives the development, analysis and distribution of complex reporting.
