Full Job Description
The Business Analyst has the responsibility for investigating business opportunities and identifying well-formed outcomes for improving business systems and processes. This is achieved through identifying and evaluating options, defining requirements and ensuring the effective use of information systems in meeting the needs of the business.

The Opportunity:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving business improvements by investigating opportunities and identifying impactful outcomes for enhancing systems and processes. This is a chance to influence strategic initiatives and guide business partners through change, delivering technical and business solutions that align with project goals and deliver measurable outcomes.

What you'll be doing:
  • Leading business analysis efforts for strategic initiatives, guiding business partners through change adoption.
  • Recommending and supporting the delivery of technical and business solutions aligned with project objectives.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the market, commercial pressures, and potential opportunities within International operations.
  • Investigating and defining business solutions: Analyze and challenge current processes to support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborating with business and IT: Define requirement specifications for system, process, and report changes (both functional and non-functional).
  • Developing business cases: Work with business units to define and document requirements for new solutions.
  • Coordinating solution delivery: Support business and technical deliverables, ensuring timely action and outcomes.
  • Identifying risks and issues: Propose mitigation strategies to reduce potential project and business risks.
  • Contributing to testing and training plans: Assist in defining and producing relevant testing and training materials.
  • Engaging stakeholders: Ensure appropriate engagement and sign-off at key milestones for solution acceptance.
  • Maintaining project standards: Adhere to International / IDF project standards and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, fostering strong business partnerships.
  • Stakeholder management: Proven ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Requirements gathering: Skilled in conducting workshops, interviews, and questionnaires to capture requirements.
  • Experience in Business Analysis methodologies (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of systems integration and the underlying data requirements.
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of the insurance sector and the London Market is beneficial but not required

Pay information:

85-95k. This is a replacement role.
This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Placement within the range will depend on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and the scope of responsibilities.
