Job Title: Business Analyst III (Project Management & Financial Control)

Role Overview
An experienced Business Analyst III is needed to support our project management office by maintaining accurate project records, monitoring financial forecasts, and ensuring strict compliance with financial and internal controls. In this role, you will work closely with program and product teams to track actual spend against allocated budgets, analyze variances, and maintain centralized project documentation.
This is a detail-oriented, analytical role for a professional who thrives in a data-driven environment. You will manage project requests, reconcile financial discrepancies, populate standard reports, and present data-driven findings to leadership. Key Responsibilities
Financial Tracking & Forecasting
• Budget Monitoring: Monitor actual expenditures, forecasts, and allocated budgets to ensure projects stay within financial targets. Track and report variances against established forecasting accuracy goals.
• Financial Operations: Create, submit, and track requests for projects, contracts, and financial actions through completion using enterprise project management systems.
• Variance & Data Analysis: Analyze existing financial and project data, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile records to support internal controls and compliance audits.

Reporting & Project Support
• Metric & Status Reporting: Pull data to populate standard reports, track operational metrics, and respond to audit or leadership information requests.
• Data Presentation: Present data analysis and financial findings clearly to senior peers and internal stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with peers across departments to exchange data, streamline processes, and participate in project team initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional work experience).
• Experience Baseline: 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in financial management, project controls, or business data analysis.
• Technical & Analytical Skills:
oStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel capabilities preferred).
oFamiliarity with project management tools and financial ERP systems.
oBasic working knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with a high degree of attention to detail and self-direction.
