Job description

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Dallas. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a solid understanding of Agile -Scrum methodologies. You will drive the gathering of requirements, facilitate process improvements, and ensure successful project delivery. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather, refine, and document business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. 

Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes (as-is) and design improved processes (to-be), identifying inefficiencies and gaps, and recommending actionable improvements. 

User Mapping: Develop user personas and journey maps to understand user needs and experiences throughout business processes. 

Collaboration: Partner with development teams and solution architects to transform business needs into functional specifications, including user interfaces, business rules, and data requirements. 

Documentation & Design: Create clear, detailed documentation such as functional design specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams, ensuring they are accessible to both technical and non-technical team members. 

Assistance in Planning: Experience assisting Product Owners in project planning, roadmap development, and estimations to ensure alignment with business goals and timelines. 

Agile Methodology: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, to support iterative development and continuous improvement. 

Testing & Validation: Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, ensuring that all solutions meet business requirements and quality standards, and facilitate the resolution of any identified issues. 

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact between business users and technical teams, fostering effective communication and ensuring requirements are well understood and executed. 

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the development of best practices that promote efficiency and effectiveness across projects. 

Mandatory Skills: 

Agile Experience: Demonstrated experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum), with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. 

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development processes and experience with system integrations. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL is a plus. 

Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation. Experience with Microsoft tools for reporting and data visualization. 

Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and conduct thorough gap and impact analyses. 

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences. 

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience in conducting meetings with business users and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements. 

Proven track record of collaborating with product owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog and manage scope effectively. 

Familiarity with business process management and cloud technologies.  

Previous experience in the automobile industry is preferred 

Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) are a plus
