Job Description

We're seeking a Business Analyst to join the Reimbursement Policy team in our Payment Integrity department! You will be responsible for performing research and analysis to support reimbursement policy governance and related business operations. Elicits, documents, develops, and tracks business and functional requirements to address intermediate-level business needs through improved processes, documentation, and reporting. Supports governance and operational execution by maintaining tracking tools and documentation, coordinating inputs, preparing review materials, and providing day-to-day reporting and analysis that enable accurate and timely execution of reimbursement policy initiatives. Also supports ad-hoc workgroups and requests by conducting targeted research and preparing summaries, briefs, and specific takeaways as needed.

What You'll Do
  • Support and execute business readiness activities, including provider communications submissions, Governance stakeholder participation tracking (e.g., survey responses, attendance, required inputs), stakeholder training, and completion of process steps needed to advance reimbursement policy initiatives.
  • Develop and document business requirement deliverables for departmental and select enterprise projects supporting reimbursement policy governance, tracking and reporting, and ad-hoc initiatives, including preparation of integrated review packages and cover sheets that compile required inputs for governance review.
  • Elicit, document, and track requirements for changes to reimbursement policy governance processes, supporting documentation, and related workflow tools; maintain and update existing governance documentation and operational artifacts to ensure ongoing accuracy between formal process changes.
  • Document new procedures and supporting artifacts (e.g., work instructions, DTP updates, workflow diagrams, meeting minutes, and process documentation) and support implementation of approved changes with impacted teams, as needed.
  • Design and administer feedback mechanisms to gather input on reimbursement policy governance processes and stakeholder experience; document and summarize responses to support follow-up activities.
  • Maintain and manage SharePoint and other document repositories, ensuring reimbursement policy artifacts are organized, current, and accessible, including version control, file hygiene, and archiving of materials as appropriate.
  • Use industry-standard analysis techniques (e.g., workflow analysis, business process mapping, and focused qualitative or ROI-oriented analysis) to support intermediate-level initiatives and address short- to medium-term business questions by gathering inputs, conducting targeted research, analyzing data, and preparing reports, summaries, and concise takeaways for stakeholders and ad-hoc workgroups.
  • Perform quality assurance on reimbursement policy documentation and deliverables by applying established standards, templates, and checklists to ensure completeness, consistency, and readiness for progression through governance and operational workflows.


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 3+ years of experience in related field.
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • Experience managing document repositories (e.g., SharePoint), including organization, version control, and content maintenance.
  • Experience using reporting and tracking tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint lists, or similar) to monitor work progress, status, and outcomes.
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing structured materials such as summaries, meeting notes, reporting outputs, or briefing documents.
  • Experience supporting governance, review, or approval processes through documentation, tracking, coordination, and quality control using established standards or checklists.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across documentation and deliverables.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a structured, process-driven environment, including conducting targeted research and summarizing findings to support business needs.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

$66,998.00 - $107,197.00
