Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in the Banking and Wealth Management domains, specifically with experience in wealth platforms like Global Plus, Charles River, Pershing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wealth management processes, banking operations, and experience in delivering high-quality business solutions. As a BSA, you will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements, provide system analysis, and ensure seamless integration between business needs and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, including wealth managers, portfolio managers, and operations teams, to gather and document business requirements related to banking and wealth management processes.
  • System Analysis & Design: Analyze existing banking and wealth management systems - similar or equivalent to Global Plus, Charles River, Pershing to identify areas for improvement and propose system enhancements or new solutions.
  • Solution Design & Documentation: Create functional specifications, use cases, and detailed process flow diagrams. Document business processes and requirements in alignment with IT teams for successful system development and implementation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the bridge between business teams and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • System Integration: Work on the integration of various banking and wealth management systems, including Global Plus, Pershing (for wealth banking operations) and Charles River (for investment management), ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead testing efforts to ensure that the systems meet business requirements and work as intended. This includes preparing test plans, executing tests, and coordinating with quality assurance teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all solutions adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices, particularly in wealth management and banking domains.
  • User Training & Support: Provide training to end-users on new system features and enhancements and offer ongoing support to ensure smooth system adoption.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance business processes and system functionality, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Project Management Support: Support project management teams by providing business insights and assisting in project planning, scheduling, and execution.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Banking & Wealth Management Experience: Strong experience working in banking and wealth management, with a solid understanding of key processes such as portfolio management, client reporting, compliance, and trade execution.
  • Hands-on experience working with Wealth Platforms like Global Plus(for banking and financial services) and Charles River (for investment management, including trading, compliance, and portfolio management), Pershing platforms.
  • Business Process Mapping: Experience in creating process flow diagrams, use cases, and functional specifications to document business requirements and system functionality.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to manage project timelines and deliverables.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Experience in creating test plans, executing functional and user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring business requirements are met through system functionality.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of banking and wealth management industry regulations, including MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and Basel III, and how they impact business systems.


Good to Have:
  • Data Analysis & Reporting Tools: Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, and dashboards, including platforms like Power BI or Tableau, to analyze and present wealth management data.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic SQL for data querying and analysis, as well as understanding of system integration technologies and API frameworks.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment, including participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user story creation.
  • Change Management: Understanding of change management processes, particularly in financial services, to ensure smooth implementation of new systems and features.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on banking and wealth management.
  • Hands-on experience with any of the wealth management products such as Global Plus, Charles River, Pershing platforms is required.
  • Proven track record of successfully gathering and documenting business requirements and working with IT teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Experience in the financial services or wealth management industry is a must.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 38,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 133,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
