WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Join RBC's Finance & Audit Technology team as an AI Forward Business Analyst, where you'll pioneer the integration of artificial intelligence into regulatory reporting and financial systems. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business analysis and emerging AI technologies, directly shaping how we approach complex regulatory requirements for FRB TIC and related reports. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate AI capabilities into tangible efficiency gains, while building expertise in a rapidly evolving field. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Gather and synthesize business requirements for regulatory reporting initiatives, with emphasis on FRB TIC Series B & D Reports, TIC S series, and 2420 reports, leveraging AI tools to enhance analysis speed and insight depth
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Audit, and Technology to identify opportunities for AI-driven efficiency improvements and process optimization in requirement gathering workflows
  • Design and architect data retrieval solutions using SQL and Python to support requirements analysis, enabling the team to extract and analyze complex datasets from multi-platform finance systems
  • Conduct root cause and gap analyses of existing regulatory reporting processes, documenting findings and translating them into clear technical and functional specifications
  • Collaborate with development teams to validate requirements through testing and iterative feedback loops, ensuring solutions meet regulatory and business objectives
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and requirement changes, creating knowledge repositories that support ongoing enhancements
  • Mentor team members on AI tool adoption and prompt engineering best practices to institutionalize efficiency gains across the group


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must Have:
  • 5-7 years of IT Business Analyst experience with strong background in Finance systems and regulatory reporting projects
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data retrieval, querying, and analytical support
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-platform, large-scale financial data environments and finance reporting initiatives
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting frameworks and comfort working with complex compliance requirements
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills with ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-Have:
  • Previous Background or exposure to Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Accounting & Finance
  • Experience with AI/LLM evaluation frameworks or prompt engineering methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake
  • Track record of driving digital transformation or process automation initiatives in financial services
