Your Role

As a Building Enclosure Vice President within our Forensics Practice, you'll provide strategic and technical leadership for some of the firm's most challenging building enclosure investigations and consulting projects. Leveraging your expertise in façades, roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead multidisciplinary teams, and shape the growth of our Forensics practice. You'll drive business development, mentor future leaders, and influence the technical direction of projects and services across the firm. This is a high-impact opportunity for an industry leader looking to advance innovation, expand client relationships, and leave a lasting mark on the built environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and provide technical oversight for complex building enclosure investigations, forensic evaluations, and consulting projects from pursuit through completion.
  • Serve as the primary client partner, building long-term relationships while delivering exceptional technical solutions and client service.
  • Direct investigations involving building enclosure failures, construction defects, water intrusion, façade, roofing, waterproofing, and other building envelope performance issues.
  • Oversee field investigations, façade assessments, and performance testing of building enclosure systems, including curtainwall, roofing, and waterproofing assemblies.
  • Lead damage assessments, cause-and-origin investigations, and the development of repair recommendations, drawings, specifications, and construction administration services.
  • Serve as an expert witness or technical expert in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams while driving business development, proposals, and strategic growth of the Building Enclosure practice.
  • Oversee project financial performance, quality, staffing, and schedules while contributing to firm strategy through technical thought leadership.


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA); additional building enclosure credentials (RRC, RRO, RWC, RBEC, etc.) are a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in building enclosure consulting, forensic investigations, and engineering leadership.
  • Extensive experience with façade, roofing, waterproofing, and building enclosure investigations, assessments, and rehabilitation of complex projects.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships, grow a book of business, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience serving as an expert witness or supporting litigation matters is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills, with the ability and willingness to travel as needed.


Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $140,000 - $191,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Massachusetts Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is based on what a successful Massachusetts applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in Massachusetts or perform the position from Massachusetts. Similar positions located outside of Massachusetts will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by Massachusetts Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
