Position Description: CGI is seeking a Budget Specialist II to provide support to the Civil Division of DOJ in Washington, DC.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Record, review, & reconcile financial transactions in more than one financial system.
Handle multiple assigned projects, with the ability to prioritize. Will work in a team setting and perform independent work.
Review payments and obligations for completeness and accuracy, and, to ensure that proper procedures are followed;
Troubleshoot problems with travelers, travel service, JMD;
Process obligations daily and ensuring data matches the information on the originating documents;
Review open balances at least quarterly to de obligate funds no longer needed;
Maintain a log of vouchers received and ensuring performance time frames are met.
Brief DOJ officials on status of projects and work items
Record expenditures in Financial System of record
Notify employees of status of their delinquent travel card accounts
Respond to inquiries on the status of reservation and travel related issues.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . The ability to perform analysis and present findings in a clear manner.
. Display high degree of communication
. Experience in budget analysis, financial reporting, or a related field.
. Proficiency in financial software and tools for budget analysis and reporting.
. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOJ Public Trust Clearance
. Due to the nature of the job, US citizenship is required.
Hourly Rate: $39.62/hour
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level, relevant experience and training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
