Job Title: BU ENGINEERING & DEVELOPMENT LEADER - MANUFACTURING
Location: Kansas City, Kansas

Scope: Single-site
Responsibilities
Project Management
Define the initial Statement of Work (SOW) for the manufacturing perimeter, including scope, extended team, and development budget (hours, rates, travel costs)
Set up and manage overall project planning
Lead manufacturing project reviews, consolidate actions, and provide structured reporting and action plans
Participate in design reviews and QUAD reviews
Ensure proper organization and tracking of Launch Readiness activities in coordination with the Launch Manager
Manufacturing
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements
Support upstream project phases (expertise and acquisition) when required
Coordinate activities of the extended team depending on project scope
Define the global industrial scenario, including production processes (paint, assembly) and supply chain flows (packaging, physical and information flows)
Ensure application of OPmobility manufacturing standards following lean principles
Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) input and ensure integration into product design
Validate plant capacity against project volumes
Lead the industrialization phase within plants and SILs after transfer from métier technicians (PPx)
Manage manufacturing cost drivers (cycle time, manpower, investments, logistics costs) and escalate changes to the Project Manager
Drive industrial performance improvement by eliminating non-value-added activities
Budget Management
Define and manage the project provisional budget (hours and costs)
Allocate budget across the extended team and ensure resource alignment with managers
Define internal and external scope related to the SOW
Track and report scope changes (customer or internal) with recommended adjustments
Monitor budget performance and escalate risks or gaps
Contribute to investment optimization initiatives
Continuous Improvement
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, organization, and methodologies
Support capitalization and productivity improvement actions
Contribute to defining and implementing progress plans
Provide structured feedback at project closure, including best practices and lessons learned
