We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Transportation Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge team in our Raleigh, NC office. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career by working on a wide range of bridge and transportation structure projects with the guidance and mentorship of experienced engineers. In this role, the engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team developing bridge and structural plans for transportation projects for NCDOT, MDOT, VDOT and/or municipal localities.
Responsibilities:- Assist with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and plan sets.
- Support senior engineers in developing construction documents and specifications.
- Conduct fieldwork including bridge inspections, data collection, and site visits as needed.
- Apply structural engineering principles and software tools to solve complex design challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRA to deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements - Must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program, master's degree preferred
- 0-4 years of relevant experience required
- Desire relevant internship experience
- Must be able to work independently and in a design group setting
- EIT/FE certification preferred
- NBIS inspection, a plus

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 - $125,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
