OverviewCVP is seeking Breast Imaging Radiologists to join our team in providing our Nation's Veterans with high-quality onsite radiological services at the Atlanta VA Medical Center located at 1670 Clairmont Road Decatur, GA 30030.
Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite breast imaging radiology services to VA patients
- Interpret and report on Mammography, Breast ultrasound, Breast MRI
- Perform and/or guide diagnostic breast imaging procedures
- Identify, evaluate, and diagnose breast abnormalities, including malignancies
- Review imaging orders and next0day cases as needed (minimum 2 hours daily)
- Provide clinical consultation to referring providers regarding imaging results and care plans
- Communicate test results to patients and providers per VHA Directive 1088
- Participate in post0procedure follow0up and complication management
- Document all care in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR) in compliance with VA policy
- Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities
- Attend required meetings with quality improvement, service leadership and staff
- Complete peer reviews (approximately 4 hours per month)
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
- Follow all VA policies and procedures regarding patient care, documentation, and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance; US Citizenship is required
- Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Board Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Active DEA license
- NPI report printout
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records systems
- Physically capable of standing forlong periodsof extended time,liftingand/or transferring up to 50lbs
