What you will do

The Brand Design Lead is responsible for oversight and direction of all key Brand Design activities for a given brand or brands, including conceptualizing, designing, and delivering Brand World assets, guidance, and systems across Kenvue's Self Care portfolio.

This role partners closely with Design Leads, Marketing, Innovation, R&D, Design CoE, External Agency Partners, and Operations to translate brand and innovation briefs into compelling, best-in-class Brand Design asset execution and guidance across a range of touchpoints, from Key Visuals to PDPs.

A strategic and creative leader, the Brand Design Lead, Digestive Health oversees multiple projects across brands and categories within the Self Care NA segment, guiding teams through accelerated timelines and evolving priorities while maintaining high design standards, cost discipline, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Design Leadership
  • Lead the brand design strategy, Brand World systems and guidelines, driving executional excellence for the assigned Brand(s).
  • Lead the development of new product innovation design language across packaging, structure and other touchpoints.
  • Elevate the brand by driving consistency, clarity, and craft across all brand expressions.
  • Translate brand and business strategies into design strategy and objectives, identifying fit-for-purpose internal and external design resources, and directing effective and compelling brand executions.
  • Act as strategic design lead and primary Design contact for the Brand(s), liaising and acting as a 'conductor' between internal functions, agencies, vendors, and freelancers.


Governance, Guidelines & Standards
  • Build and maintain Brand Guidelines and Executional Guidance standards to ensure consistency and meaningful impact across all brand touchpoints.
  • Employ a human-centered approach to maintaining the brand, incorporating learnings and modifying guidance as needed based on performance and data.


Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Brand Lead on Design project prioritization and resource alignment.
  • Build alignment across multiple senior stakeholders and manage project processes and outcomes towards design solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners including R&D, CBI, Category Management, HCP, and Commercial to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency.
  • Partner with CBI, R&D, regulatory, and Marketing teams to ensure cohesive execution across markets.
  • Closely coordinate with Design CoE to ensure consistency and optimization of processes, systems, and tools.


Project & Workflow Leadership
  • Co-create a best-in-class design brief with Marketing partners.
  • Collaborate with the designated Design Project Manager to ensure projects and deliverables are delivered effectively.
  • Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain an active pulse on industry and creative trends and integrate them into workstreams.


Creative Direction & Partner Management
  • Identify appropriate internal and external Design resources as needed to meet business objectives
  • Advise Advertising and Marketing Agencies to ensure brand quality and consistency.


People Leadership
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to internal designers, supporting design contractors and external agencies; cultivate a culture of creativity, growth, and accountability.
  • Model strong leadership behaviors by empowering teams, nurturing emerging talent, and building capability across the broader brand design community.
  • Lead cross-functional design forums or design reviews, ensuring clarity of direction, effective feedback loops, and high-quality outcomes.


What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Graphic/Brand Design or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of brand design experience, preferably in consumer goods.
  • Proven track record delivering successful brand design projects across markets.
  • 5+ years of packaging design experience.
  • 1-2 years of people leadership, including coaching and giving constructive feedback.
  • Strong strategic, creative, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex design strategies for diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire designers and agency partners.
  • Experience translating global brand strategy into regionally relevant executions, solving across consumer, regulatory, and market contexts.
  • Experience improving design workflows, processes, and standards to drive efficiency and consistency.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and ability to apply eco-friendly principles to packaging and brand experiences.
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization and managing multiple senior-level stakeholders while upholding design principles and strategic objectives.

  • Demonstrated craft excellence across visual identity, typography, layout, and storytelling.
  • Experience working in regulated product categories and applying compliance requirements to design.

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$110,500.00 - $156,000.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
