Full Job Description
Purpose:

The Branch Manager has full leadership, operational, and P&L responsibility for the assigned branch(s) with direct oversight of sales, rental, parts and service of all equipment, transportation and support functions. By ensuring all employees provide the highest level of customer service, they are the key to the stability and growth of the branch business and its employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manages labor and equipment in compliance with Maxim policies and goals.
  • Ensures all branch personnel perform their job duties in a safe manner adhering to Maxim's safety policies and guidelines.
  • Collects and analyzes data to make project and installation calculations.
  • Reviews and compiles 'take-off' quantities, existing cost history, and calculations ensuring accuracy
  • Ensures that the operations are in full compliance with FHWA and ASTM codes
  • Conducts site visits during installations and also throughout job, being available for communication needs and if problems arise
  • Supports consulting engineers with planning, design and tender documents as requested
  • Assists in preparation of presentations about Maxim's systems and advantages.
  • Works with the dispatcher and service manager to maintain project profitability and scheduling.
  • Prices projects and create contracts as required.
  • Maintains and supports all Maxim safety, quality, and environmental standards and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Education:
  • BA/BS (Business or Construction Management preferred), or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

Experience:
  • 5+ years in construction and or rental industry in a customer-facing role
  • 2+ years' experience in logistics role

Skills/Knowledge
  • Advanced level communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced level problem-solving skills and attention to details
  • Advanced level knowledge of Mobile Cranes and the transportation of equipment including designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Maxim's capabilities and products
  • Advanced level ability to build strategic working relationships.
  • Advanced ability to think and act strategically
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office software and Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Moderate level knowledge of P&L and forecasting techniques.
