We are seeking a Branch Manager to work at our Commerce City, CO location.

We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of success in managing sales and operations teams in showroom and production environment.

Desired management experience or product knowledge includes:

  • Decking, Railing, Outdoor Structures.
  • Building materials: metals, woods, plastics, hardware.
  • Construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
  • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
  • Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel.
  • Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.
  • Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
  • Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
  • Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
  • Develop or implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
  • Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport.
  • Arrange for storage facilities when required.
  • Develop or implement plans for storage and distribution activities.
  • Complete Profit & Loss responsibility.
  • Planning, budgeting, forecasting and expense control.
  • Maximize sales and profit growth while properly managing company assets.
  • Hire, teach, coach and retain the highest level of quality personnel.
  • Support employees by providing good working conditions, equitable pay programs and on-going career development. Conduct annual performance appraisals.
  • Effectively communicate Company goals and objectives to Distribution Center staff.
  • Work in conjunction with Distribution Center staff in order to establish goals and objectives.

  • Maintain a high level of quality control at all levels within the Distribution Center.
  • Maintain positive customer and vendor relations.
  • Recommend product selection and pricing levels for local markets.
  • Keep the Company informed of local market and competitive conditions.
  • Develop effective inter-department communications and working relationships within the Company.
  • Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to plan work activities.
  • Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
  • Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of sales, record control, and purchasing departments to ensure availability of merchandise.
  • Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Qualifications:

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 plus years of experience in related field.
  • Computer Skills: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; spreadsheet software; Order processing systems; and Word Processing software.
