Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for all daily activities associated with branch of responsibility in a manner consistent with delivering Hawthorne and Caterpillar annual business plans, goals and objectives. A special focus and emphasis on rental revenue growth, financial and time utilization, and sales rep performance is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Overall supervision, development, and performance management of branch personnel.
  2. Deliver annual R2R, HR, and rental roll out revenue targets.
  3. Ensure safe, efficient shop and yard practices are being observed at all times.
  4. Utilization of IRents reports such as Return to Ready to ensure maximum fleet availability.
  5. Oversee all safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations and drug and alcohol testing.
  6. Code and approve authorized accounts payable invoices.
  7. Assists customers with all equipment needs.
  8. Initiates rental contracts.
  9. Assists customers with equipment service needs
  10. Negotiates rental rates with customers.
  11. Ensures billings are completed daily
  12. Assist Corp Rental Manager in acquisition and disposing of inventory (both Cat & Allied)
  13. Ensure adequate phone coverage is maintained at all times and oversee compliance with opening and closing procedures.
  14. Ensures all deposit policies and procedures are being followed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Must Have 3 to 5 Years of experience in Construction Equipment Industry
  3. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  4. Strong sales and customer service experience.
  5. Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred.
  6. An understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation.
  7. Organizational and communication skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  1. Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain.
  2. Handling: Works with hands.
  3. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts, small tools, batteries, and tampers. May lift up to 50 lbs.
  4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  6. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
  7. Climbing: In and out of equipment.
  8. Vision: Reads rental documents and computer screens.
  9. Talking: Communicates via telecommunications and in person.
  10. Sitting: Sits in equipment and in vehicles.


ENVIRONMENTAL:
  1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
  2. Temp/Weather: Works in an office environment and outside with variations of temperature and weather.
  3. Exposure: Foul odors, fumes, bright lights, dust, gas, and harsh substances.
