About the Role:

Direct the activities of the Fabrication Department at our Wooddale, IL branch to ensure that all work is completed in accordance with delivery schedules and quality standards. Oversee Customer Service function (if on site) and Field Service operations.

Tasks and Duties

In addition to your responsibilities to support daily Forbo branch functions, your Branch Management responsibilities include:
  • - Ownership for scheduling of Field Service and Fabrication
  • - Coordination of facility maintenance, including obtaining quotes and scheduling service calls
  • - Obtaining quotes and preparing analysis for any capital expenditures
  • - Human Resource oversite for the branch including responsibility for the Time and Attendance of all employees and other items which impact employment status
  • - Processing and approving material and supply invoices, shipping and receiving entry and other requirements through the Document Approval System
  • - Submitting all field service invoices in a timely manner
  • - Inventory management including the assignment of materials for fabrication, cycle counting and branch supplies, as needed
  • - Coordination and record-keeping for employee training, including but not limited to: policy and procedures, safety and quality
  • - Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements
  • WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires, but is not limited to the following demands/factors:
  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional stooping, crouching, reaching and twisting
  • Occasional use of keyboard to perform data entry
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less to be able to accurately read printed workshop order form and inspect precision work involving exact measurements of length, width and thickness of various belting material
  • Hear and speak clearly and distinctly to understand and verbally communicate with others

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree; or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with managing a fabrication department.
  • Customer service and technical service background very helpful.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and effectively supervise
  • Oversee numerous departmental employees.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
