Full Job Description
Job Overview: Monitors the factory's performance, determine manpower needs and strengthen and develop the organization's production & planning structure. Develops, implants, and improves manufacturing production processes and methods Responsibilities:
  • Develops best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability
  • Drive the implementation of continuous improvement processes for efficiency to create a Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Investigates problems, analyzes root causes and derives resolutions. Will use 8D Problem Solving Process to ensure sustainable quality products
  • Supports operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
  • Provides input for budget preparation and monitor expenses and profitability
  • Writes spec books; requests and evaluation of supplier quotations
  • Supports the design, documentation, and implementation of medium-scale manufacturing processes. Checks feasibility of product changes
  • Performs a variety of moderately complex tasks relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Evaluates current production activities and make recommendations for improvements
  • Periodically ensures that highly technical equipment meets required specifications and high quality standards
  • Proposes cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards
  • Contributes to product and process quality design testing methods
  • Develops planning standards, methods, and procedures
  • Plans workplaces considering ergonomics
  • Stays current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes
  • Assist management in manpower distribution to achieve efficiency goals
  • Provides guidance to team members to accomplish production goals
  • Heavily involved in medium-scale projects from beginning to end
  • Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Additional responsibilities include: Leading the Cell Tech team in regards to structure, repsonsilbities, KPI's, and training. Responsible for headcount planning and HPV target activities. Driving shop KPI's and creating weekly and monthly reports

  • Will perform other duties as assigned
Financial Responsibilities:
  • Budget responsibilities to create reports for actual spending versus budget in running costs and internal projects
Qualifikationen
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant degree required*
  • 3-5 years of relevant expeirence required, strongly preffered automotive, such as Body in White, Paint and Assembly
  • PLC experience
  • Hands-on experience in off-line simulations
  • 3D-CAD experience such as; Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Siemens NX, ect.
  • Line Balancing, time studies, line layout planning
  • New Lean Concept, waste reduction and parts presentations
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods/procedures and process technology.
  • Able to perform essential functions of the job
*6 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience and knowledge of manufacturing methods/procedures and process technology
  • Ability to present technical information a plus
  • Proven written and verbal communication at all levels within the organization with good negotiation skills
  • Able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions
  • Knowledge of joining technologies such Mig/Mag, spot, and laser welding, and gluing a plus
  • Experience in dimensional accuracy desired
Use of value stream mapping to identify opportunities for waste reduction is a plus.
