What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for a Biologist to independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). The role involves assisting with laboratory experiments, collecting and analyzing biological data, maintaining laboratory equipment and records, and supporting research activities. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Rockville, MD.
  • Study basic principles of plant and animal life, such as origin, relationship, development, anatomy, and function.
  • Analyze experimental data and interpret results to write reports and summaries of findings.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Monitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Record research or operational data.
  • Plan and administer biological research programs.
  • Identify, classify, and study structure, behavior, ecology, physiology, nutrition, culture, and distribution of plant and animal species.


What You Will Need:
  • Master's degree
  • A minimum of FOUR (4) years of experience in research or laboratory setting.
  • Experience in assay development, imaging analysis, and compound screening.
  • Have experience in in-vitro and in-vivo disease model settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Previous experience with NIH preferred.


The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
