Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the enhancement of the tax compliance framework; coordinate with external advisors to complete multi-tax compliance filings for subsidiaries within the jurisdiction, prepare transfer pricing documentation, align and maintain consistent compliance approaches, and manage ongoing communications with tax authorities.
Take ownership of data collection, data consistency validation, root-cause analysis, and top-up tax calculations related to jurisdictional requirements, including annual Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), Pillar Two, and monthly tax analysis.
Analyze and interpret local tax policies and assess their business impact; propose and implement response strategies to ensure business activities comply with regulatory requirements and lead the compliant utilization and implementation of tax incentives.
Monitor drivers of effective tax rate fluctuations across entities in the jurisdiction; manage tax asset balances and utilization progress; identify and implement practical tax optimization opportunities aligned with business models; and execute group transfer pricing policies.
Strengthen tax risk management mechanisms within the jurisdiction; conduct regular tax risk self-assessments; identify and mitigate potential risks; and lead and manage responses to external audits and inquiries.
Optimize tax workflows within the jurisdiction and support the digitalization of tax processes to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above; major in finance, accounting, or taxation preferred.
At least 4 years of experience in overseas corporate tax roles, or relevant experience with a Big Four firm in international taxation.
Solid knowledge of U.S. tax regulations with hands-on experience in U.S. tax compliance and practice.
Must be proficient in speaking and writing English & Chinese (Mandarin).
