What will you do? - Drive sustained sales growth in the Asian market by strengthening existing business-partner relationships and developing new ones.
- Analyze market penetration and sales performance, then execute regional insurance strategies and tactics to achieve targets and increase market share.
- Identify and qualify production sources whose values and client focus align with Sun Life.
- Serve as a trusted resource to channel business partners by promoting Sun Life's value proposition, products, and services.
- Generate and advance individual insurance case work with distribution partners as part of the regional distribution team.
- Deliver seminars and workshops that educate channel partners, employees, and clients about Sun Life's individual insurance product shelf and the broader financial services industry.
- Maintain current knowledge of local markets and competitive activity.
- Support the Regional Distribution Vice-President in developing and executing regional strategic and tactical plans for Asian market MGAs.
- Conduct all business-development activities in accordance with Sun Life policies, procedures, budgets, and external regulatory requirements.
- Keep contact-management records, activity tracking, and case-work documentation accurate and up to date.
- Continue industry-related professional development to strengthen knowledge and skills.
What do you need to succeed? - Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable medium- to long-term sales results.
- Insurance-industry experience, including specific wholesaling experience with individual life and health products and a strong reputation with business partners.
- Sound judgment and maturity when making decisions that support business partners and benefit Sun Life.
- Written and verbal fluency in Mandarin as well as English
- Strong communication and presentation skills for partner meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Practical case-design and risk-management capability.
- Proficiency with relevant software and internet applications.
- Strong teamwork and alignment with Sun Life's Client First culture.
- Excellent organization, planning, expense management, and activity-analysis skills.
- Initiative and the ability to contribute ideas that benefit the team and region.
- Recognized business and industry qualifications; at least one of the CLU or CFP designations is expected, with both preferred.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
