Job Description:

Global Equity Derivatives (GED) provides clients with derivative solutions for their investment, hedging and exposure needs. These clients include pension plans, insurance companies, hedge funds, corporate clients, retail clients etc. In addition to this GED is making markets electronically in a variety of instruments such as common stocks, ETF's, single stock and index futures and options. Functionally GED is managed over three product groups: Delta One, Volatility and Structured Retail products. These activities are coordinated out of Toronto and cover three additional regional desks in New York, London and Singapore.

Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to Director of Sales for Eastern Canada for Notes Distribution Solutions responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Help cover Eastern Canada Region for sales and distribution of structured products to investment advisors and financial planners
  • Support and facilitate the day-to-day admin requirements in collaboration with other team members of the Structured Notes Group
  • Develop and maintain contacts
  • Prepare presentations for various marketing efforts
  • Use data analytical tools in excel to analyze market trends and activity
  • Contact existing and prospective clients
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex investment strategies, including derivative structures, in a clear and client-focused manner


Job Requirements:

Work experience in the financial service industry is required along with but not limited to, the following:
  • 1-5 yrs experience working in capital markets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of a range of Financial Products and brokerage environment (Understanding of derivatives, options and structured products mechanics an asset)
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines independently or in a team-based environment
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and sound judgement when making decisions
  • Good organizational skills, highly motivated and adaptable to a changing business environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis including Artificial Intelligence tools
  • Opportunity to work with SQL & Mongo databases and to use, develop and manage tools built in Python, and Tableau for regional sales & client reporting
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with our internal & external partners
  • Understand and comply with TD Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business (MBA, CPA, FRM and/or CFA considered assets)
