Your Opportunity:Working as a member of our dynamic and collaborative team in the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering Human Resources office, the Benefits & HR Coordintor works independently to perform benefits administration and human resources support functions for the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering Human Resources Office and associated client departments. Key responsibilities include: providing frontline benefits information and advice; conducting group and individual benefits orientation sessions; responding to general inquiries related to applicable collective agreements and HR policies and practices; providing onboarding support for new FASE HR staff; producing reports for administrative analysis; and participating in and supporting special projects.

Qualifications:Education:University degree in a relevant discipline, plus completion of related professional development courses in pursuit of CHRP, or CEBS designation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:Three (3) years of related human resources experience, including benefits administration experience; Experience in interpreting and applying policies, and employment-related legislation; Experience working with collective agreements is an asset.

Skills:Excellent communication, consultation, analytical, and organizational skills; Good computer skills including spreadsheets and databases; Experience with HRIS; Knowledge of benefit policies, procedures and processes. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of administrative and academic staff; Demonstrated initiative and creative problem solving skills.
