Job Summary

The Belgard Contractor Development and Technical Specialists primary role is Hardscapes Contractor Training and Development while supporting the Belgard Hardscapes team with technical expertise in both commercial and residential sales.

Job Location

  • This position is hybrid and can be located at our West Des Moine, IA or Shakopee, MN facility.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain, Recruit and Manage the Belgard Authorized Contractor (BAC) Program
    • Updating licensing, insurance requirements in Salesforce
    • Quarterly meetings with Master Craftsman
    • Prospecting for new contractors to bring into the program
  • Contractor Training Program
    • Schedule and execute Quarterly Hands On Training focused on Contractor
    • Belgard University
      • Content Development
      • Partner Alignment
  • New Product Adoption
  • Develop displays for Industry Tradeshows: Southwest Builder Show, Cactus League etc.
  • Track daily activity in Salesforce, 20 contacts per week
  • Work with Sales Manager on portfolio position in market
  • Assist Sales Team with Job Site visits identify solutions to existing issues or product solutions for specific jobs
  • Develop product presentations
  • Membership in local associations attending networking opportunities
  • Weekly Job Site Visits
  • Receive customer phone calls; provide support to customers and contractors via phone and in person
  • Refer to product catalogs and specification guides to determine related product uses and applications
  • Work closely with outside sales representatives regarding sales promotions and initiatives which require phone contact and follow-up
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch and maintains customer informed of such schedules


Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in Hardscapes Industry
  • High school diploma/equivalent or comparable combination of education, experience or training in related field
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Previous sales experience
  • Experience with multi-line phone system preferred
  • ICPI Certified
  • Contracting experience preferred but not required
  • Valid Drivers Licenses
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 25%


Compensation

  • Base salary $65,000-$75,000 plus commissions with annual earning's $95,000-$100,000
  • Plus monthly car allowance
  • Paid Time Off - 120 hour per calendar year (prorated in first year)
  • 401k plan
  • Sort-Term and Long-Term Disability benefits
  • Nine paid holidays per year
