Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of behavioral health programs by supervising clinical and administrative staff, ensuring high-quality care for patients, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Essential Functions
-Oversee and provide guidance to behavioral health professionals, including counselors, therapists, and administrative staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer support, and ensure staff adherence to clinical best practices and organizational policies.

-Ensure the smooth operation of patient care services, including intake, treatment plans, and discharge processes. Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other departments to ensure integrated care for patients.

-Develop, implement, and evaluate behavioral health programs to improve service delivery, patient outcomes, and overall program effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement and adjust services based on patient feedback and performance data.

-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards related to behavioral health services. Maintain documentation and reporting standards, including patient records and treatment documentation, in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.

-Provide guidance and support to staff handling patient crises, including those experiencing mental health emergencies. Assist in crisis management and ensure proper protocols are followed.

-Identify and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff, keeping them up to date on the latest behavioral health practices, treatments, and technologies.

-Work with community partners and external agencies to develop resources and services for patients, such as housing, substance abuse treatment, and vocational programs.

-Collect and analyze patient care and program data to assess service delivery and make data-driven decisions. Prepare reports on patient outcomes, service utilization, and compliance for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Social Work required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required and Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Social Worker [Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - LICSW - MA] - required

Experience
Experience in a behavioral health or clinical environment 3-5 years required and Experience in a supervisory or leadership role 1-2 years preferred

- Demonstrated experience in program development, staff management, and budget oversight.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience working in a healthcare facility or hospital setting.
