The role will lead the team that helps structure, launch, and execute MGB's recently developed Transformational Partnership strategy - executing deep, longitudinal (10+ year) partnerships with international partners to bring the best of MGB to transform local healthcare delivery systems across care delivery, education, and research. This strategy will further radiate MGB's mission globally and deliver sustained financial results for MGB and its international partners. The TP Lead is accountable across four core pillars: (1) Transformational Partnership Execution, (2) TP Product Development, (3) MGBI Business Development, and (4) Team Leadership. This executive serves as a senior leader representing MGBI to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, with a mandate to deliver sustained client value and revenue/margin growth by building and delivering the Transformational Partnership product offering. International travel and direct engagement with clients in culturally nuanced, complex environments are core expectations of this role.

Essential Functions

-Lead the cross-functional team of MGB and client resources that will execute MGB Transformational Partnerships in international markets.

-Act as MGBI's expert on best practices to structure and launch a successful Transformational Partnership across all workstreams, roles, and responsibilities, with primary accountability for initial partnership scoping (along with sales / BD team) and detailed business case and implementation plan development.

-Serve as the primary client-facing MGBI executive leader for TPs, representing Mass General Brigham with credibility, authority, and strategic influence.

-Provide executive oversight and accountability for partnership governance, scope, budget, and the end-to-end delivery of high-value advisory work products and services.

-Exercise executive judgment to anticipate, escalate, and resolve barriers to success, removing obstacles at the organizational and client-interface level.

-Partner closely with MGBI leadership on TP resource planning and execution, ensuring enterprise-level alignment across scope, staffing strategy, financial performance, delivery timelines, and proactive risk identification and mitigation.

-Support the identification and hiring of key TP leaders who will lead on-the-ground operations and work closely with this team to ensure a smooth handoff from advisory to operations teams.

-Establish a high-quality, repeatable process for sourcing, contracting, and executing international Transformational Partnerships, grounded in Transformation best practices.

-Oversee the development and maintenance of a detailed approach and playbook that helps MGB and clients easily understand and execute MGB's TP methodology.

-Assess resource needs for the TP product offering and work with MGBI leadership to align on and execute the hiring plan related to TP development.

-Continuously refine MGB's TP product offering based on client feedback and market to ensure it meets the needs of MGB and client stakeholders.

-Ensure disciplined adherence to institutional policies, procedures, and governance standards when deploying the TP product offering.

-Support the MGBI BD team in identifying and nurturing net new prospects for TP development through the full deal-making lifecycle, acting as the TP expert throughout the BD process.

-Serve as the commercial leader for existing TP clients, identifying, shaping, and securing additional revenue opportunities through relationship expansion and extension of MGBI services (e.g., international patient services in Boston, advisory support, new ventures).

-Serve as a senior advisor to MGBI leadership on TP sales and execution strategy, and as the primary executive liaison for the assigned TP portfolio.

-Support MGBI teams and leaders to apply learnings from the TP product offering to other high-value opportunities for MGBI (e.g., international clinical collaborations, advisory projects with overlapping IP, etc.).

-Ensure connectivity and a strong collaboration model with the rest of the MGB organization through formal and informal channels, including during the execution of specific TPs.

-Build and maintain a high performing team with specific expertise in Transformation and mentor and develop team members, creating intentional learning, stretch opportunities, and leadership pathways within the project environment.
