Global BD Director / Senior Manager - Merchant Payments & Fintech Sunnyvale, CA | $190,000-$270,000 Base + Bonus + Equity

Close the deals that define where payments are going next.

A well-funded, high-growth fintech platform is looking for a senior hunter to own global strategic partnerships end-to-end. This is a company at a genuine inflection point - they've recently launched first-of-its-kind payment technology in partnership with two of the largest card networks in the world, putting them ahead of where the market is heading.

This role is built for someone who has spent their career opening doors at the C-suite level, closing complex multinational deals, and thriving in fast-moving environments without a playbook to fall back on.

What You'll Do
  • Source, negotiate, and close global and regional partnerships with top-tier merchants and enterprise accounts
  • Own the full cycle - pipeline generation through deal structuring, close, and post-launch
  • Engage directly with C-suite decision-makers at Fortune 500s, global retailers, and e-commerce players
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Tech, Marketing, and regional BD teams to push deals through
  • Build and expand the company's footprint across retail, travel, gaming, SaaS, and financial services verticals

What We're Looking For
  • 5-8+ years in BD, partnerships, or enterprise sales within payments or B2B fintech
  • Proven track record closing large-footprint, multinational accounts
  • Real C-suite access and credibility - not just champion-level relationships
  • Full-cycle ownership mentality - sourcing through negotiation through post-close launch
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Nice to Have
  • Background at a recognized payments company (Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Checkout.com, Braintree, Worldpay, or similar)
  • Existing network in retail, e-commerce, gaming, or travel you can activate immediately
  • Experience managing deals with cross-border or multi-jurisdiction complexity
  • Mandarin language skills - not required but genuinely valued
