Job DescriptionThe Caffè Manager is responsible for leading the team to meet all business objectives while consistently delivering outstanding service, overseeing all aspects of the Caffe in back-of-house (BOH), front-of-house (FOH), and full-service bar operations, as well as customer engagement areas.
- Oversees daily operations to ensure that Eataly Caffè consistently meets standards for guest service, employee practices, financial performance, operational efficiency, and health and safety.
- Engages with Caffè employees in a hands-on capacity to foster teamwork and operational excellence.
- Motivates, inspires, and develops team through setting clear expectations and leading by example
- Fulfills guest needs by actively taking a role in service operations such as barista, cashier, gelato, dining area maintenance, bartender etc.
- Oversees full-service bar operations
- Ensures adherence to Food Safety and Quality standards, upholding all Department of Health (DOH) and company regulations.
- Collaborates closely with the Director of Operations to develop, implement and monitor standard operating procedures
- Manages labor, costs, inventory, regulatory compliance, pricing, and merchandising to optimize operational performance.
- Employs a strong analytical approach to business management, utilizing financial reports, product metrics, and local business data.
- Assists in team scheduling to maximize productivity and labor efficiency, making staffing decisions based on anticipated sales volume.
- Actively recruits and trains Caffè team members in collaboration with HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
- Acts as a brand ambassador for Eataly, representing the store to the community and guests
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications- 2+ years of experience supervising a café or quick service operation
- Experience and knowledge in coffee and coffee production
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Requirements- Ability to stand, bend, reach and be mobile for up to 4 hours
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to operate a commercial espresso machine
- Food Handlers License and Serv-Safe Certification are a plus
- Restaurant or Hospitality experience preferred
Compensation: The annual compensation for this role is $80,000 - $90,000
