Job Description and Salary
ArentFox Schiff LLP is seeking an Associate to join the second to fifth year associate class for its nationally recognized Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring group in the New York office.
The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience in corporate chapter 11 restructuring and bankruptcy and related litigation. Clerkship experience in the Southern District of New York, the District of Delaware, or the Southern District of Texas is preferred. Large law firm experience is a plus.
Candidates should possess superior written and oral communication skills, including strong legal drafting abilities. They should also demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team, take ownership of workstreams, and mentor junior associates. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to business development activities, including participation in networking events and client outreach initiatives, and to deliver exceptional client service in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $225,000 to a maximum of $305,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a comprehensive bonus program with opportunities for discretionary incentives that may include productivity, business development, and merit-based components, subject to applicable policies.
