Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain infrastructure that enables safe deployment and monitoring of generative AI systems. Develop systems to detect, respond to, and mitigate misuse and safety incidents in AI-generated content. Collaborate closely with ML engineers, T&S policy, operations, and research teams to align models with safety principles. Assess and remediate real-time safety risks from emerging AI capabilities. Assist in prototyping and productionizing classifiers, filters, audits, and feedback loops for high-risk or novel model outputs. Participate in safety evaluations, instrumentation, and experimentation to monitor alignment, fairness, and reliability at scale. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Designing and implementing large-scale, distributed backend software services and systems using object-oriented or high-level programming languages including Go, Java, Python, or C++ to support high-throughput and fault-tolerant production environments; Designing and implementing scalable distributed backend systems that leverage relational or NoSQL databases to support high-volume online services; Designing and implementing scalable data processing pipelines for high-volume datasets using distributed data processing technologies Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Hive; Integrating machine learning or large language model inference services into backend systems to support automated decision-making or content analysis workflows; and Using agile methodology for the entire software development lifecycle.
