Full Job Description
About the roleAre you ready to make an impact at the heart of the energy transition? As a Back Office US Analyst at RWE Supply & Trading, you'll contribute directly to how renewable and conventional power is traded, settled, and recognised across key North American markets like ERCOT, PJM, MISO, and NYISO.

Whether you're at the start of your career or looking to deepen your expertise, this is a rare chance to grow in a collaborative, highly visible team - engaging daily with traders, finance experts, and back-office colleagues across international hubs. This role places you at the intersection of innovation, compliance, and operational excellence, empowering you to shape how we settle, analyse, and improve processes in fast-moving energy markets.

  • Analyze and ensure proper revenue recognition for electricity sales via power purchase agreements (PPAs) and merchant contracts
  • Manage and support timely, accurate invoicing across multiple energy markets, maintaining trusted relationships with internal and external partners
  • Conduct meter validation, confirm shadow calculations, and communicate settlement data with precision to Revenue Accounting teams
  • Maintain, enhance, and optimise our settlement systems (PCI, ENDUR, Excel models) whilst driving process improvements and innovation projects
  • Respond to auditor requests, ensuring compliance and timely completion of supporting schedules
  • Build deep market knowledge and share learning within the team to foster continuous improvement and best practice

Job requirements and experience
  • Foundational understanding or strong interest in energy markets, settlements, and revenue recognition
  • Analytical mindset with superb attention to detail, able to manage data with accuracy and deliver under pressure
  • Familiarity with Excel and/or settlement systems (e.g., PCI, ENDUR) - or a demonstrated willingness to master new technical skills quickly
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, eager to work with a broad range of stakeholders including traders, finance, scheduling, and international teams
  • Curious, resourceful, and ready to bring fresh perspectives to process improvement, automation, and data handling

Advantageous, but not essential
  • Prior experience working in multiple North American energy markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO)
  • Knowledge of financial or ERP systems beyond settlement tools, such as SAP or advanced Endur modules
  • Additional language skills or experience collaborating on international projects

What we value most is someone who continuously demonstrates courage, thrives to create impact and seeks to build trusting, collaborative relationships. So, even if you think you do not yet display all of the skills listed above we would still like to hear from you.
