Job Description:
We're seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with a strong cybersecurity focus to design and build secure backend systems supporting PKI and key management. This role is responsible for developing APIs and services that manage digital certificates, encryption, and secure communication for connected platforms. The ideal candidate has deep experience in backend development, secure coding practices, and deploying scalable applications in cloud or on-prem environments.
Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain backend APIs and microservices supporting PKI, encryption, and certificate management
- Manage the lifecycle of secure systems: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
- Implement and maintain digital certificate processes (issuance, renewal, revocation, key rotation)
- Develop secure communication and authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, mTLS)
- Apply secure coding practices aligned with standards such as NIST and OWASP
- Deploy and support applications in cloud (GCP preferred) or on-prem environments using Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, frontend engineers, and security teams to deliver scalable and resilient solutions
- Ensure systems meet security, reliability, and scalability requirements for high-volume connected environments
