Social Workers (BSW) are responsible for the provision of therapeutic services to patients/clients which include, but are not limited to counseling, advocacy and crisis response. Patient/client care is provided within a Recovery and Rehabilitation Framework and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. In addition to the general duties, the Social Worker, Child and Youth Mental Health Services provide evidence-informed clinical treatment to children, youth, and their families within a provincially funded lead agency model under the Ministry of Health.
REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum four (4) year Bachelor Degree in Social Work
- Registered as a Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in counseling (individual, family and group) or in a community mental health setting or related field
- Experience working in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Renfrew County and community resources
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
- Ability to coach, mentor and influence
- Proficiency in the use of computer applications and software programs
- Ability to mentor students
- Must be flexible and adaptable in a continually changing environment
- Travel required one day per week to Renfrew

- Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
- Bilingualism preferred (French/English)
