Job Description- The client is seeking a specialized business analyst, positioned at the intersection of data governance and privacy, rather than a generalist business analyst.
- The role involves working on medium-complexity projects requiring collaboration across multiple business areas, within a data governance team committed to bringing its data platform into compliance. The candidate will work in an Agile environment alongside a product manager, a project manager, and agile teams. This requires the ability to define needs, document requirements, and gain stakeholder buy-in, rather than simply producing technical deliverables.
- The presence of privacy protection within a Quebec financial institution necessitates familiarity with Bill 25 and its associated compliance frameworks.
- Technical profiles such as data engineers or BI analysts, as well as business analysts without exposure to data governance or privacy, do not meet this requirement.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze situations to understand organizational problems and seize opportunities
- Identify, analyze, document, and validate the organization's business needs and requirements
- Support stakeholders and ensure their buy-in to project requirements
- Support the data governance team
- Support the evolution of processes leading to data platform compliance
- Align the solution with business objectives
- Identify internal and external prerequisites and dependencies
- Analyze the impacts on stakeholders
- Communicate and present the solution
- Evaluate and validate the effectiveness of a solution in relation to needs and requirements
