Job Summary
The Azure Databricks Platform Architect will serve as a hands-on technical architect responsible for designing and implementing enterprise semantic, ontology, metadata, and AI-ready data capabilities using Databricks. The role will establish the foundation for a PBM System of Intelligence by developing semantic models, knowledge graphs, metric views, governed business definitions, and Databricks Genie Agents. The architect will work closely with business SMEs, product teams, and AI engineers to translate complex business knowledge into reusable, governed, and auditable intelligence assets.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement enterprise ontologies, knowledge graphs, metadata graphs, and semantic relationships to establish the foundation for a PBM System of Intelligence.
• Build and maintain reusable semantic data models, business glossaries, domain taxonomies, and governed business definitions across PBM domains.
• Design and implement the Databricks Unity Catalog semantic layer, including metric views and certified KPIs.
• Build and configure Databricks Genie Agents to support Agentic Analytics and conversational intelligence.
• Model complex PBM business domains, including Prior Authorization, Claims, Formulary, Clinical Outcomes, Eligibility, and Member data.
• Design knowledge engineering frameworks and context retrieval models to support AI-ready semantic assets.
• Develop enterprise metadata, lineage, governance, stewardship, and data quality strategies to ensure trusted and auditable AI responses.
• Architect modern cloud-native data platforms leveraging Azure Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.
• Design data solutions using technologies and patterns such as Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, federated data access, and domain-oriented data products.
• Collaborate with business SMEs, product teams, and AI engineers to translate business knowledge into reusable ontology assets, semantic models, and governed intelligence layers.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the design and implementation of Databricks semantic and AI capabilities.
• Establish scalable architecture patterns that support enterprise data intelligence, semantic consistency, governance, and AI-driven analytics.
