Full Job Description
As an Azure Data Platform Administrator, you9ll be rolling out and operating the new Desjardins Group data platform. In a highly dynamic, agile multidisciplinary squad, the team is in charge of supporting the development teams with the implementation of environments, code deployment and shared production infrastructure. You9ll work in an Azure cloud environment with targets based on infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration as code (CaC) and continuous deployment (CD). If you9re resourceful and you enjoy transformational projects and new technologies, this role is for you! More specifically, you will be required to:
  • Direct and oversee work to keep commitments made to reach objectives
  • Help solve highly complex problems using your analytical skills and comprehensive, detailed understanding of your line of business and the organization
  • Lead and serve as a platform specialist for your unit, clients and practitioners from other sectors
  • Develop complex execution strategies, and analyze, design and document business products and solutions
  • Analyze and develop software products (design, code, automate and run tests), while applying development, data and security best practices
  • Write procedures, guidelines and development methods Help develop documentation and prepare and deliver training for peers and consumers
  • Cocreate with partners to get a complete understanding of business intentions and objectives and standardize solutions accordingly
  • Identify system optimization opportunities and underlying impacts of changes Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve highly complex operational and conceptual problems during major incidents
  • Lead software package installations and testing and application rollout

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor9s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in platform administration
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience with Azure environments (Compute, networking, analytics, security, monitoring, DNS, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in IaC (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD and pipeline management)
  • Experience managing Azure data platforms
  • Analytics experience
  • Proven experience in roles that require managing complex or urgent situations
  • Professional experience in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Proficiency with scripting in PowerShell, Python or a similar language
  • Solid command of infrastructure: Proxy, firewall, Active directory, DNS, Telecommunications (network interconnection)
  • Knowledge of security rules configuration and implementation (RBAC, ABAC, Policy)
  • Knowledge of agile environments: Jira, Confluence
