Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in complex application development environments, particularly in investment banking or financial services
• Strong programming skills in PySpark and Python or similar languages
• Proven track record as an Azure Data Engineer or similar role
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services including Data Factory, Azure Databases, and Functions
• Strong SQL skills with any relational database management system (RDBMS)
• Experience with the DevOps lifecycle tools such as Git and Jenkins
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project management
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, with additional experience in Databricks and SQL Auto Loader as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and processes on Azure
• Collaborate with teams to define data requirements and deliver data solutions
• Optimize data flows and ETL processes for performance and reliability
• Ensure data integrity and security across Azure platforms
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, integrating DevOps practices
• Document processes and system changes using Jira and Confluence
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues as they arise.
