Full Job Description
Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite client service delivery.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities
  • Provide L1/L2 support and troubleshooting for Azure infrastructure issues. This includes Windows and Linux VM support.
  • Provide on-call support for escalated client issues during US business hours.
  • Develop skillset across three domains (Infrastructure, Containers, & Networking) to better support the client
  • Develop skillset for relevant tooling
  • Contribute towards a knowledge base and SOPs which would fortify support for the client
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications

Required
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Kubernetes with strong conceptual knowledge implementing development projects on cloud with AKS.
  • Superior experience in designing, implementing, and delivering infrastructure on container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
  • Experience with enterprise cloud solutions like Platform - as-a-Service (OpenShift by Red Hat), containers, Kubernetes, cloud management (CloudForms), and IT automation (Ansible by Red Hat)
  • Experience on Red hat Quay, Terraform & Vault Configuration
  • Understand the impacts of adapting different architectures and designs and present the same to all relevant stakeholders. Manage technical requirements while deciding on technical solutions
  • Experience in setting up landing zones on Azure cloud
  • Experience working with Redhat Technologies from Operators hub
  • Experience working with AKS OpenShift Infrastructure design, deployment, and operational support.
  • Experience with automation tools to streamline and standardize our cloud deployments like Helm Charts, Tekton, Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience in activities around automated deployment of their applications into AKS.
  • Experience in managing automation playbooks and documentation related to AKS.
  • Experience in pod autoscaling designs/strategies, CI-CD pipelines for building enterprise grade application build and deployment automation.
  • Experience in efficiently managing image streams and build artifacts.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
  • Experience in estimating effort required for Modernizing and migration of applications / infrastructure on to cloud environments including but not limited to the Rehost, Refactor, Redesign, Retire, Retain, Replace
  • Experience in troubleshooting firewall & network related problems on both on premise & cloud.
  • Experience in setting up high availability OpenShift cluster and multi-cluster management.
  • Experience working with Apache tomcat, JBoss EAP7
  • Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
  • Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
  • Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
  • Excellent Written and Communication Skills
  • Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,725-130,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
