Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive AWS Systems Engineer to build and maintain the foundational infrastructure that powers enterprise applications. The successful candidate will streamline the software development lifecycle by designing scalable infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and supporting efficient development workflows. You will contribute to the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud platforms with a focus on AWS-native environments and modern engineering practices.

Required Technical Skills & Experience
  • AWS Infrastructure: Strong experience operating and supporting AWS cloud environments, including implementing high-availability patterns and following architectural best practices.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform for provisioning and configuration.
  • CI/CD & Automation: Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate deployment of web applications (e.g., Tomcat, containerized services).
  • Development Workflows: Experience managing source control and development workflows within GitHub to ensure code quality and efficient integration.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional software teams.
  • Linux/Unix Expertise: Strong background managing, hardening, and optimizing RHEL/Rocky Linux systems.
  • Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and tool development.
  • Security & Compliance: Experience securing platform components, including secret management, PKI/encryption, and maintaining documented artifacts for certification.
  • System Documentation: Ability to maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and internal documentation to support developer usability.


Desired Skills & Experience
  • Database Management: Experience integrating managed database services (RDS, Postgres, MySQL) into platform architectures.
  • Cloud Optimization: Experience performing performance analysis and improving efficiency of cloud-native systems.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $162,037 - $219,227. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
