AWS Infrastructure Lead
Lead I - Cloud Infrastructure Services
We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Lead to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud provisioning, networking, automation, and DevOps practices.
The opportunity:
• AWS Infrastructure Management Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure on AWS.
• Architect highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud environments.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Define and enforce AWS infrastructure standards, security controls, and best practices. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and other IaC tools.
• Create reusable modules and templates for infrastructure provisioning.
• Implement automated infrastructure deployment pipelines.
• Maintain version-controlled infrastructure repositories and CI/CD integrations. AWS Networking Design and manage AWS network architectures including: VPCs Subnets Route Tables NAT Gateways Transit Gateway VPC Peering Direct Connect VPN Connectivity Load Balancers (ALB/NLB) Route 53 DNS Implement network security using Security Groups, NACLs, WAF, and network segmentation.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues. Automation & DevOps Integrate IaC deployments with CI/CD tools such as AWS CloudFront, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Implement infrastructure lifecycle management and governance controls.
• Drive Infrastructure Self-Service and Platform Engineering initiatives.
• Security & Compliance Implement IAM policies, roles, and least-privilege access models.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with security teams on cloud governance and risk mitigation.
• Implement logging, auditing, monitoring, and ing solutions.
• Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Lead a team of cloud engineers and infrastructure specialists.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical mentorship. Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning, operational reviews, and strategic roadmap discussions.

• Preferred Certifications
• AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate Success Criteria Standardized infrastructure provisioning using IaC.
• Highly secure and resilient AWS network architecture.
• Automated deployment and operational processes.
• Reduced infrastructure provisioning time and manual intervention. Improved cloud governance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Nice-to-Have
• Kubernetes/EKS administration.
• FinOps and Cloud Cost Optimization experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations and ITSM processes.
• Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platform (IDP) experience.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range: $65,000-$98,000

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
