Position Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Enterprise Risk Analytics applications within a financial services environment. This role will focus on building and supporting cloud based data solutions using AWS technologies, with an emphasis on reliable data processing, analytics, automation, and application performance.

This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC, Birmingham, AL

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Data Engineer will work with technical and business teams to develop and enhance data pipelines and ETL processes, support data transformation and analytics workloads, and maintain production ready solutions. The role also provides opportunities to apply Generative AI and automation capabilities to improve data engineering processes and operational efficiency.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 5+ years of hands on experience with AWS cloud services in data engineering environments.
. Experience developing and maintaining data solutions using Amazon Redshift.
. Hands on experience with AWS Glue, including ETL jobs and data transformation workflows.
. Strong programming skills in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation.
. Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, data transformations, and performance optimization.
. Experience developing and supporting ETL/data pipelines for analytics applications.
. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
. Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) technologies and their application to data engineering or automation use cases.
. Experience automating data engineering processes, workflows, and operational tasks.
. Ability to troubleshoot and support data applications in enterprise production environments.
. Experience working with financial services, risk analytics, or similarly regulated data environments is preferred.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $110,100.00 $139,300.00.
